Need more help with suspension squeaking!!!!!
00 civic ex with agx shocks/struts, h&r springs, skunk2 pro series front camber kit, ingalls rear camber kit
the skunk2 arm on the right will have a loud squeak when going up the driveway(driveway is angled, so the front right goes up first and produces one fn annoying squeak)
something in the rear on both sides sounds like something is binding/rubbing WHENEVER the rear dips from the roads. Like little rubbing noise, nothing bad, but happens only when the rear dips from the road being uneven.
and when going at low speeds, around 15mph or less, something in the front has a slight clunking noise. ONLY happens when I'm going slow.
when I'm driving full speed, 35mph+ I hear nothing from the suspension.
I plan on replacing the rear TA bushings with megan hard rubber and the rear LCA's with skunk2 polyurethane.
I also went through after the install and greased EVERYTHING.
AND HERE'S A QUESTION I'VE NEVER HAD ANSWERED OR SEEN AN ANSWER
they say to preload the suspension before tightening to spec. Does this mean tighten everything down when the car is sitting on the ground normally? Isn't this called ZERO preload?
or does it mean to preload the suspension so it's closer to the car than with the car sitting on ground normally?
These may be dumb questions, but I have yet to clarify them and get an answer.
-The torque specs for tightening down bolts in suspension, is it supposed to make the suspension parts hard to move with your hand? Like how are the bushings supposed to work. Does the innermost hole just rotate over the bolt, or is the actual suspension part supposed to rotate around the bushing?
Because if I tighten down the skunk2 upper control arm that's when it squeaks, but if I tighten it down once I start feeling a little resistance and stop, it doesn't make as loud as squeak.
sorry for all these questions, I've searched and need clear answers, thanks
