NRG strut tower bars
ok, so does anyone have any expierence with their alum strut tower bars?? i'm not trying to build a race car, or an autocross car, but i would like to help kinda dial in. they seem to be very afforadable in comparison to others on the market.
Honestly, 2-point strut tower braces (the ones that go straight from strut tower to strut tower) are relatively pointless. They tie the strut towers together, but they still allow the towers to flex; they're just flexing together. If you want a strut tower that actually accomplishes something, you'll need to shell out for a 3-point bar which also ties the strut towers to the firewall.
As a side note, please either contact a staff member about becoming a forum sponsor or remove the HDME link from your signature. I don't see a problem with the image, but the link would be considered non-sponsor advertisement.

Reaper - thanks for the heads up on the 3-point bar different. is there an actual mount the 3rd point goes to, or do you take off the wiper cowl and bolt through the firewall??
Also - didn't think much about the link being "advertisement" because my company does not support online sales, but it's removed.

Thanks for removing the link
Anyway, I don't have any hands-on experience with the 3-points (my old civic had a 2-point that I bought before actually researching my mods), so I can't say for sure how they bolt on. I think you have to remove the wiper cowl and bolt through the firewall, but I'm not 100% sure on that.
Looking at this picture, I'd say it's what you have to do, though:
