I was making a u-turn @ prety fast...the front tires start making sounds. then I felt the car was slipping.,,i braked hard. so yes, It hit the curb while sliding.
You should:

1) Stop pulling U-Turns at 60.
2) Compete in some autocross events to learn more about the handling characteristics of cars.

Braking in a turn is the LAST thing you want to do.

Edit: I hit a curb last winter at about 5 - 10 mph and it threw the alignment all off and made the car generally drive like poop even thought it didn't look too bad.

i lucked out last year, i hit a curb with the back drivers side tire and the only damage was a scuff on the steelie and a crack in the hubcap. although that may be the reason why the bearing on that wheel needs to be replaced, it doesn't effect driving right now but when you turn the wheel by hand you can feel the resistance

Hit one at about 45 in a 2000 mitsu eclipse when I was 17, cracked the subframe and destroyed some other things. Was a 2 grand job. Could of been worse poly.
