Default popping noise

I have an 02 Si, I notice when im backing up or taking off in first if I give it a little too much gas, and let the clutch out (not popping it) it makes a loud popping noise. Has anyone ever encountered this? It feels like suspension and not the tranny but if anyone can help it'd be appreciated.

Constant velocity (CV) joint. Stick your head under to get a look at the CV boot. inspect it, holes and the clamps that hold the boot on. Debris in the boot is no good. These are normal wear items...meaning, they wear out! How many miles on the car?

26000 miles. And should also add that the car doesn't do it on a regular basis, in the month and few weeks of owning it its done it twice.

not not when going over bumps, did it once when I was leaving a stop sign after first getting it (a little rusty on the clutch) and I reved it up a little to high and it popped when I let the clutch out, and then today backing into my driveway I was on the slope in reverse, and when I reved it up and went backwards it made the pop again....doesn't feel or sound too serious but wanting to know what it is and what to do to fix it.
