Rear tires wearing funny.
I had the stereo in it with the stock wheels on, then just threw the new rims on there and rode with them. I never had them aligned after the switch, but until recently, when I noticed the sound, they rode great, and nothing sounded bad at all.
It's like all of a sudden they have gotten worse, or it's been happening all along and I never noticed.
Checked the PSI today, cold they are sitting right at 40, and the tire shows 50 max. Thats about how I leave them always. Front's look perfect, rears are the only thing wearing wrong, so it has to be the rear suspension or alingment.
I guess I will have to get it in a shop next few weeks and have it lined up in the back. Hopefully it will correct the issue, and I will just be out for the cost of 2 new tires, which i have yet to pick out.
I almost hope it's just some bad belts inside the tires, and I can get my money back on 2 of them, then change brands.

always worth a shot. if at a tire shop you can at least try to get a discount on the new tires..... just show them that your alignemtn was good if it is and blame it on the tires.
always worth a shot!
and if it doesnt work... o well just buy different tires.

another thing to consider is that the suspension might litteraly be wearing out. Springs losing they're tension and spring rate and shocks wearing out causing the car to actually sit lower than stock and pushing your camber out negitive. This happened to my car. I'll post some pics of what the tire looked like but it;s almost exactly as you describe. one side was worse than the other. I took it over to my buddys shop to get it aligned, every thing checked out ok it was just sitting lower than it should for some reason. and there was nothing I could do exept maybe buy a camber kit. (which I did) and reccomended a new suspension setup. I just dont know weather to go aftermarket or stay stock. Just an opinion on what may be goin on
Well I thought about doing the 1" drop a while back, which gave me all new springs. I knew that it was possible that these would be worn out. I might be able to swing a used set of stockers if needed, but I would almost be just as good to replace the whole set, front and rear. That gives me the drop I was interested in, and since I am alinging anyway, it will clear up any problems associated with the drop in 1 visit, other then a few.
I am good for a month or so anyway, as little as I drive right now, so it will give me some time to weigh my options. I just hate to go springs alone without new struts. And together they are out of my ideal pricerange for repair.

It's kinda funny, I rotated my wife's tires today, and noticed they are doing it too, slightly, in the rear.
She has driven about 8k more then i have on the tires, and it's barely noticeable, but it's present. I guess I could just stick with rotating about every 5 thousand just to keep them wearing correctly, if the problem doesn't go away with alingment on my car.
