Default Rubbing/Clicking Sound?

I drive a '98 Civic DX with a little over 169,000 miles on it. For the past week and a half or so, I've noticed that when I turn the wheel to the left and get the car moving, I can hear this "sand paper on sand paper" sound along with a high-pitched clicking sound. I think its coming from the passenger side front tire and I can almost feel the rubbing sound in the steering wheel. Also, for about the same time frame, I've noticed that while driving at higher speeds (60MPH+), the car feels funny, its hard to keep straight. What could be the problem? I know its hard to diagnose sounds especially without hearing them, but any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
