Springs vs. Coilovers?
I have a 1999 Civic DX Hatch. It is a really light car and handles well for being stock, but there is far too much body roll and the *** tends to slide out in hard turning. I want it to stick to the road, but I also have to drive it long distances at times.
My question is, I want cornering, but I don't want to bounce up and down and I don't want to be so low to the ground I can't get over a speed bump. Should I go with Springs or Coilovers. Coilovers are more expensive, where I could get a set of Tein Springs for around $100.
What should I do to get less body roll with better cornering but not hugely sacrificing ride quality?

For the body roll get some strut bars.. i've heard that they do the trick, and people say that the $35 e-bay ones work good. I am trying to get some money to buy a front-upper strut bar, but I have to get the DC Sports or Neuspeed because of my engine/air intake and fitment issues.
Yeah the struts do the trick... The front upper and rear lower by even meghan racing off ebay are like 80 i think... strap em on and you'll feel a difference... Springs will lower the car, but it will be a crazy stiff ride. Springs make you feel like you're riding in grandma's crown victoria, they bounce. Just keeping the suspension until you can really drop the $$$ on a really good one is the better choice, in my opinion.
not all springs do..i love my teins, they are amazing in cornering and feel lights a stock ride no bounce and not to still and it lowers it just enoph to look good..oh ya, try using search too...this question has been asked ALOT

Thanks for the advice,
I believe I am gonna go with the Tein springs. From what I have read they get a decent drop and can still be a daily driver. I think I am going to have some clearance issues with a front strut bar as well. I have an AEM Short Ram intake and am wondering what is going to fit up there before I just buy one off ebay.

my cousin has a 96 hatch and he has an intake and a strut bar(from ebay) it works fine and clears the intake just a bit to make it work. But i'm not sure about the others if they have clearence issues.
full coilovers will be ur best bet for handling but if ur not gena autox it its not worth it IMO. it'll also cost you a pretty penny(upwards of $600 for a decent set). if you just want good handling for DD then springs and struts will do fine. if ur shocks are old and worn and u just buy springs, ur gena have some hella "rice" bounce which is not comfy.
