stripped bolt :(

Default stripped bolt :(

i was helping a friend change his brakes on his 02 civic and stripped the 2 bolts behind the caliper the ones that hold it any ideas how to get that dam thing out??!!

Are you talking about the bolts that hold the caliper onto the caliper bracket or the bolts that hold the caliper bracket onto the steering knuckle? The caliper bolts (there should be one you can see and one you can see after you remove the caliper) are fairly small. The bracket bolts are fairly big (like 18mm, maybe bigger). There is this tool called an easy out/bolt out (they might not be the same) but i think that tool will get stripped bolts out. I've never personally used it. You could also try vice grips but if the bolt is really on there you might end up doing more harm.

go to sears and get this. they have it for $20 bucks

stripped bolt remover

this should work. i stripped a head bolt and it took that **** out
