Default Tire Help

Alright you guys, I need some help. Heres the deal. My front tire has been losing pressure the last couple of weeks. It has a slow leak. I found this out when I washed it and some water got in the crack between the tire and wheel. I am using Nankang tires on 18's. When I heard the hissing noise from the tire I looked to see where it was coming from. There is a little piece of rubber sticking out of the gap between the tire/wheel. I called the company I bought them from and they want me to mail them back to look at the tire. I have a one year warranty on the tires. I think that the piece of rubber from the tire is stickin out and causing the leak. What do you guys think, is the seal possibly broken or is the tire ****/damaged? Tell me what you think.

I dont think ther should be any major damage. You can bring it to Walmart and they might be able to fix it or you can just send it in since you got a warranty.

Sorry its taken so long to get back. I ordered the tires/wheels as a package from wheelsnext. They shipped them to my house balanced and ready to put on the car. The tires are in great shape except for the one that is leaking. I think I'm going to have somebody re-mount the tire. Thanks for the help. I just hope they don't scratch the wheel.

i doubt they can just remount it. it sounds like they ripped the bead when they were installing them. have a tire shop pull the tire off and see. sometimes something just gets stuck there, and it will drop out. if its torn, wheelsnext should have to replace the tire. one time i was doing donuts in the gravel in my old truck, and a rock got stuck in the bead. i was very confused when i pulled the tire off and couldnt find the hole where i saw the leak in a bucket of water. but i figured it out.
