man if your car sits that high and still rubs that far up somethings gotta be bad with the struts.....

hell my rear is lowered really nice tucken tire and mine doesnt rub that high at all! my only problem was my inner fender lip hiting the side of the tire. you should definatly check out some new struts thats gotta be blown or just about to blow!

nah i took off the "vogtland lowering springs" i now have stock Honda Del Sol springs on the car. Theylook aftermarket in the pic because the kid painted them red. But the springs on the car in the pic are stock springs fromthe del sol.

ORIGINAL: Dipsetcivic117

Its been about a year when i purchased some KYB GR-2 Gas Shock Absorbers for my civic sedan. I put them on with some Cheap lowering springs but took the springs off because the bouncing. I threw away the old springs and a friend gave me some from his Del Sol. Now when i have the back sit full my rear tires rub on the wheel well. I sometimes smell burnt rubber coming from the tires. The tires or only 15s. Does anyone know if it is the shocks that went bad or if the springs are to small. The rubbing mostly comes from the rear tires.
Your tires are too big. You may have also had larger-than-stock tires on the stock rims. The offset for 7th gen rims may also be wrong for your car. Earlier Civics can usually handle up to an 18x7" rim, but 205/35 or smaller tires have to be used.

Check your shocks, springs, and bumpstops for proper operation.
