uh oh!! HELP
yea....so i stripped out my lca bolt. the one behind the rotor. i finally got a set of those sockets that are suppose to dig into the bolt to get it out. it dug into it alright. i had a pipe on the ratchet to get levrage and i broke the bolt in HALF!! now there is like 3/4 of the bolt still in there. what do i do? how can i get this bolt out now? and i cant mess up the threads on the backside either.....as you can see it broke right in half.

RE: uh oh!! HELP
is there a little nut tack weldedon the other side of the hub? i cant remember...if so, u can break the tack welds by just putting enough tq on it trying to loosen it like a regular nut. when the welds break, tighten the nut. it'll pull the bolt out of there when u tighten it. once u run out of threads on the bolt, use a punch and hammer the hell outa the bolt to push the rest out. if u get it out, just buy a new nut for the new bolt and tq it down like normal.
thats the first thing i'd try. next would be trying to drill it out which would take alot longer and be harder..

RE: uh oh!! HELP
You don't, just use a regular nut (and prob. washer) to put it all back together. Actually, you can probably just reuse that nut but it just won't be attached anymore. The nut being attached as no effect on holding the bolt in once it's tight, it's just there so it's easier to get the bolt in and out.
