vibrations suddenly at high speeds
i drive a 97 honda civic with 135K miles on it. i just had my rear brakes replaced and noticed after picking it up that vibration occurred throughout the entire front end of the car at 65+ miles. this was not happening before I got my brakes fixed. the mechanic also did an alignment after replacing the brakes. not sure why the vibration is now occuring, but is it purely coincidential and can be explained by something else or related to the repair work i had done? what could be responsible for it?
I would've turned around as conveniently as possible after I felt the vibration and went back to the shop. A vibration like that can be caused by something as simple as a wheel weight that fell off the wheel, or it could be because a suspension component loosened or was not properly tightened when the alignment was done.
My advice? Get the car back to the shop, ASAP!
