I'm new to civics and am gonna lower my civic and put rims and tires on it. I'm just curious whik size wheels are most of you guys running... I'm thinking 16 or 17. I like the look of 17 or 18. but its gonna be my daily driver and i want a comfortable ride for me and my 2 lil kids. Also what are good websites that have good deals on wheel/tire packages? My civic is an 01 ex 4 door. Thanks

 

Not sure what ths tock size on your 01 is but i think 16 are about the best for looks and still driving nice.

I have 205*17*40 on mine and the ride is a bitt ruff on the stock suspension.

 

for an 01 you could get away with 17's if you want, but i would stay at about 16" myself though

 

I've got an 01 with 17's and its on stock suspension and it looks pretty good.

Check out www.tirerack.com, to make sure you know what fits. Smaller rims and taller profiles typically yield a better ride, but may not be as pleasing to the eye. Look for some all-season UHP treads for best handling in a daily driver.

 

18s ftw no doubt but if your car is lowed you WILL need to roll the fenders its a pretty comfy ride in my 03 lx 4dr even with low profile tires

 

If you have the right offset, you can fit 18x7s on even a 5th or 6th gen without rolling fenders. You need to run 35-series tires though. Anything taller can rub.
