Recommended offset?

Default Recommended offset?

I'm trying to get my steelies off and some new rims on. I have no idea what the offset to get. I drive a 94 civic lx

anything from +38 and +42 will be fine

I've got +40 on my '99 coupe and it looks jsut about perfect

It depends on what width you want.

Assuming stock width of 5.5", with an offset of +38mm, you'd want to measure clearance and see whether you have more on the inner side or outer side of the tires. Cut the front wheels over to full steering lock in both directions while checking this.

I'm guessing that between 38mm and 42mm positive offset would fit most wheels in the correct size range. Maximum tire width would be 205mm, with an overall diameter of around 23.5" for stock speedo/odo accuracy.

I run 6" width rims, with 195mm width tires, at 38mm offset...no rubbing anywhere.

Kommando had the right idea. You can talk offset all day, but with out knowing wheel width, offset cannot be properly calculated.
My 94 coupe I ran a 17x7 +48. Kosei.
My 06 18x8.5 +40
