well the drivers side is the same way. I have no idea why it is this fuggin complicated to change a set of brakes. Almost makes me want to trade the damn car in. This is what im gonna do:

Last time I tried to change the pads I had the same problem, so I ended up only changin the inner pads. So Im gonna install my new ceramic pads on the inners then take the new "old inners, clip the squelers off and install them as outers since theyve only been on for about 6 weeks. Hopefully they wore more than an 1/8" so teh caliper will slide down over. IF that doesnt work then Ill be driving around with ****ty *** brakes until payday on friday at which point I might opt for a complete caliper upgrade to an NSX kit. We'll see...

show pictures of the new/old pads next to each other.... that seems very odd.....

but just be sure when reinstaling the bolts to put some antisieze all over the bolts hopefully it will work for ya....

i just dont see how the thing wont go on all the way...
is thier a huge ridge on the rotor.... just MAYBE that ridge is holding the pads from doing all the way down. kinda like drum brakes hold the pads on the lip making the drums not wanna come off....

not realy sure how to help ya out without seeing it first hand and messen with it myself.LOL

Well I got the new pads on both rotors. I basically beat the living hell out of the bolt hole until it got back far enough. The drivers side is on fine but I beat the passenger side up so bad I have to retap it. I figured I was gonna need new calipers anyways so I might as well beat the living crap out of it and it worked lol.

Judging by your first picture,it appears that the piston can go in about a 1/4 inch or so.
The face of the piston should be FLUSH with the caliper casting.
Give it another try, you'll get it soon or later.
Hope this helps.

sorry I missed this thread the first time. Did you get it worked out? is everything still OK?
to answer your question in the video, yes, that slider is supposed to move in and out. You should pull them out and regrease them every time you change the pads.
