2nd gear shift problem

Default 2nd gear shift problem

i have recently noticed iit has become harder to shift into 2nd gear.. i have 2 use more force, what can cause this, someone told me i should get a transmissiion flush, but not sure any advice would be helpful

nobody have an answer??? ok basically it is harder to move the stick into 2nd gear when going from 1st. i dunno what it could be shifter bushings maybe'??

i have the same problem! especially when im tryin to shift to second from a high rpm. i dont think to much of it tho. sorry i couldnt help, but maybe someone will help us both!

If this would have been third, I would say syncro sleeve without any doubt - this is a known honda problem. Your case is most probably syncro sleeve, too. Might be a shifter linkage, though. If this is your tranny, filling it with somewhat heavier oil may help temporarily, but ultimately you have to rebuild it to fix this.

when i shift into 3rd it is a litttle difficult as well, so what does this mean?? and how much does the synchro sleve cost to replace??

IDK, I did it myself. Sleeve itself costs a few bucks, but the job is to remove the tranny, completely disassemble it, assemble and install....

try changing your tranny oil and that should help out a lot. use either gm syncromesh or genuine honda mtf or if you cant afford either use some high quality 10w30
