Default 2nd Gear Syncronizer..

Hey guys-

I'm just curious how much it would run to get a sync replaced..

I am looking at picking up this civic off ebay.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2000-...QQcmdZViewItem

and i was just curious if you guys would have any idea what kind of $$ I'm looking at the fix it up..

Thanks

Jeff

You don't change on synchro, you usually have all the synchros and bearings changed b/c there is so much labor involved. You will pretty much have to have the transmission rebuilt if the 2nd gear synchro is bad.

Thanks for the reply..

I let the auction go on the one that needed the syncro.. I figured the thing had seen a pretty rough life if the syncro was going out on a 2000 model with 88K on it already..
