Default Auto tranny question

I rebuilt the motor in my car. It is a 99 civic ex. I used a Y7 block, cause of the budget that I had it was the cheapest I could find and no one around me was selling just a Y8 block. But anyways the Y7 still had the torque converter on it when I got it and I think I may of gotten the converters mixed up when I was bolting the tranny up. So, would it hurt anything if the converter from the Y7 was installed into the ex tranny? If so is there any way of telling the 2 apart, that way I can just look at the one that is sitting in the garage and tell before I go ripping into the car again.

Thanks
