clutch going bad?

how would i know if my clutch is going bad? i just want to know what to look for before i **** something up.

If you put it in gear and dump the clutch fairly hard, a bad clutch will gradually grab the plate instead of biting really hard (i.e. a not very jerky takeoff). When it's just about to go out completely, you'll be able to almost free-rev the engine while it's in gear.

well its not grabbing verry hard but there is no lag time. but if i dump it, it wont jerk verry hard. but no free rev. sould i change it?

if you stick your foot all the way down to the floor and the clutch has trouble engaging, then it's time to change it.

do it before it finally goes, because nothing sucks worse than a manual car that won't go into gear. lol.

Having same symptoms, DJ. Thinkin' of changin' out the clutch+flywheel while its apart!
