Default hole on top of trans housing ??????(pic)

Hey all,

just a quick Q im looking at changing the transmission fluid (manual) in my b16a2 engineand was wondering what was this hole on top of the trannywas for, can you fill from there??
I know about the 2 bolts on the side but looks like a pain in the **** to get fluid in thereon the side

I believe is should be a vent tube. There should be a rubber cap that goes over it. I would use the site plug/site hole to check your level. It should be slightly higher than your drain plug. Thats about all I can say. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

looks like the speedo port to me, which means there is a gear that would impeed the fluid entering... get a 17 mm wrench and remove the upper plug, btw, its a good idea to replace the plug with a new one, if you can. not necessary, just a good idea
