Default need answers quick, cars in shop

yesterday my clutch went out in my 98dx i sent it to a shop here in amarillo, tx today i talked to the guy and he has replaced the clutch and machined the flywheel. The problem he has is that the clutch fork is on the verge of being worn out. But nobody in town has one. if he orders it it would be friday or monday before i got my car back. so the question I am asking the civic nation is, do i really need a clutch fork? Do the oem units last forever or should I wait for one to come in? I know on different vehicles some parts will almost outlast the car and if you see wear on them its typically ok because it will take forever for the part to wear out completely. Did honda make thier clutch forks super strong to where the wear he sees on it is negligable and it has another 100,000 miles on it? Or it it just one of those things where im gonna have to bite the bullet cuz otherwise Id be replacing it in another month anyway?

Can you post a picture of your old clutch fork? It's quite possible that it is worn to the point of requiring replacement.

i dont have any pics of it. I figure it may very well be that worn but I didnt know if it would be strong enough to last for a while or not. If it is I can have my car back asap, if not then Ill have to wait for the parts to come in

i never knew the fork could go out i mean i would think it would either work or completely break but i guess it could be badly bent dont know would have to look at it.

I would just replace it while its being worked on. Better do it now before it breaks while youre driving. Even if you replace it later, you wont have your car for another length of time
