I'm looking for suggestions on how to make my stock shifter work smoother. When I stop for a traffic light I always take it out of gear and release the clutch to reduce wear on the throwout bearing (17yr old civic). Shifting into 1st takes a little effort and searching, feels dry and stiff. Works fine thru the next four while the car is moving.
