RE: Oblig's EK Auto to Manual Conversion [12/31:project underway!]
it'll go on.
the flywheel isn't even torqued down yet and when we opened the release bearing one of the little grabbers (that holds the fork on either side) was cracked off
So I had to run to advanced auto and buy a new one for almost 30 bucks

well, the projects pretty much done guys!
cars running and MANUAL! (but with bad idle--I need to hunt for the 2 wire plug tomorrow)
There are a couple other minor problems that will be fixed tomorrow
I'll post details and pics soon
total cost and list of everything you need coming asap also
It took 6 of us 2 days.
Could have gone faster I suppose, but for the most part we did pretty quick work.
Had to go to autozone numerous times (details later)

The only thing I see wrong with any of it....is in the very last post. You made us clink to HT to see your pricing. Shoulda made them click a link to here.
Good job though glad to hear you got it done, and that is a pretty decent price too.

Here are some final pics of the project:
I swear you couldn't see through to the floor when this thing was still in:
and now you can see a good bit:
old engine bay again for comparison:
