Problems with my tranny
So I have an automatic Civic. It's in great condition and has never given me any problems. Only about 56,000 miles on it. But..
Today I was cruising around and noticed my car was acting weird. When it shifted it would kind of give a quick shudder. Like a bang. And it would kind of jump forward a bit. Hard to explain I know. But it's getting worse. And now whenever I switch into drive, or have my car shift it gives a pretty noticable bump.
Here's the real problem.
I have a date tommorow. I really wouldn't want to cancel, and even worse, I don't want to make her drive. So is there any things that you could think of that could be an easy fix and could do before tommorow around 3? Or if not, do you think it would be okay to drive my car about 15 minutes each way somewhere?

Your tranny fluid may be low. Check fluid level when engine is warm and idling. Add a Honda recommended transmission fluid. You'll need a special funnel from an auto parts store to do this.

By that I mean you thrown it into neutral at a stop light, then put it into "D1" or whatever and work your way up.

You don't cycle through your gears like it's a manual tranny, right?

Does it happen all the time?
On a cold start?
Does it warmed up?
Any CELs coming up?
Might just want to take it to the shop.
Tranny is not just something you can ignore, haha
You pretty much need it.
If you run with it while it has problems then you may be doing more damage.
