hey guys...so far i have got the shift linkage, clutch cable, and pedal assembly to dot he manual tranny conversion on my 91...on question tho...do i have to get the ecu out of a manual tranny car? or will mine work...i noticed on the clutch pedal there is a plug for a sensor what is that?...does anyone know any wiring problems i will have while doing the conversion?
what cutting am i gunna have to do?...man im starting to get scared lol....i need to do it tomroow cuz my auto trany is shot and tomorrow is my only day off...the guy i asked said i wouldnt have to change the ecu or do any electrical....he has had 4 crxs so i trusted him but now you guys are telling me that i need all this crap....im scared now...lol...im going to the junk yard in the mornig to take the tranny out of the 4 door...remember i have a 4th gen...cable tranny...do u think i will be able to finish it in one day?...and also when i take the auto shifter out and everythign will it just be the hole for the stick shifter?...will it bolt right there or is the hole bigger on an auto
I !ASUME! that running your stock ecu will work with a manual tranny, BUT you will get codes from the ecu about the tranny(dough) and your engine MIGHT be running in safe mode if there is such a thing on hondas...
