Default Tranny replacement or upgrade?

Okay so heres the deal I'm starting to get the feeling my tranny is about ready to throw in the towel, its starting to have a hard time to go into gear, it never wants to go into reverse. Its approaching 130K miles is there anything known to go out on the tranny at that point? I was also thinking if its going to be needing replaced maybe I would get a better tranny but yet i want something that i can couple upto a B18 (Im not evan quite sure if the tranny will bolt to a b and d series universallly so if someobe could tell me that would be of much help) eventually chances are I will be replacing the clutch while Im at it. It almost seems like my whole drivetrain is about ready to go BOOM and it really sucks. I dont drive the car that hard. Its gets up to 80 very rarely i dont drive like a maniac so Im not quite sure of why it feels like its getting ready to go bye bye already....any suggestions?

what kinda car? 130k and a bad tranny doesnt sound too apealing. my last crx hit 240k all origional including the tranny and never had a prob outta it aside the isb going out. it may be possibly you just need to adjust your clutch cable if your cable.
