heres the problem: some times when i got to put it into first gear, it kinda stick, and wont exactly go into gear. if i put it in second then into first it seems to free things up, and it'll go into first. then occasionally when i try to put it into reverse it grinds gears. at first i thought i just didnt have the clutch down all the way, but i have found that it is becoming common.

what do i do?!? is it something i can fix on my own, or is it just easier to take it to a shop?

 

try adjusting your clutch pedal

 

if its on a 99, theres not much adjusting to do. you can adjust it a little at the pedal, but it sounds like your trannys getting close to the end of its useful life. move your seat forward one or two clicks, and you will push the pedal down farther, see if that helps.
