Default battery question

My battery is on it's way out, but I cant afford a new one right now. I have a brand new one from the ford escort I used to have. It is a bigger battery, but If I find a way to make it fit, would it cause me any problems to use it for a few months?

You can use any 12 volt battery. There will be no problems other than physically fitting in the space. The Civic battery is really small compared to others.
