It is a very good addition to your electrical system. Doing this in 0 gauge wire allows MUCH more current to flow through the electrical system. Just think of it like this, stock wiring is usually 8 gauge. Imagine water going through a faucet. If you have the faucet half way open (8 gauge wire) water comes out but not a lot, but if you open it all the way (0 gauge wire) a lot of water comes out.
right on i use the same anology to explain to customers all the time

On a 00 civic its difficult to run 0 ga from ur alt to ur battery. Reason being not enough terminal room. I have a stinger batt terminal with (2) 0 ga openings. 1 is used for the power wire for my amps, and if i put the other from my alt to battery, then i have no way to connect the other 4 ga wire that leads to my fuse box. So its just easier to run an extra 4 ga wire fused from alt to batt

Umm put rings on them and connect it to the post, not a terminal. I don't use terminals at all (maybe cuz I have so many damn runs of 0gauge in my car lol)

what i did for my grounds under the hood is i have them ontop of eachother... tho i didnt upgrade my chassic to tranny cable but i got 0gauge on the strut brace and then with another wire right ontop of it running over to my pulley brackets...

and for my stereo i just have my own run of 0gauge power and ground wire all the way to the rear where my stereo stuff is....
hardest part about that is running the wires..LOL
ive ditched even trying to run them thru the cars anymore! i run them under the car free from all moving and hot objects and then cut thru the floor towards the rear and ran inside.
works just fine! ya just have to run and tie them up outta the way so NOTHING will catch the wires or rubb thru them.

but for most people its not needed.... BUT sure woudnt hurt

i see those UGLY ground systems they have on ebay with just a coper circle with abunch of holes it in with abunch of little wires comen off it... and to me that just looks REALY UGLY AND TACKY!!!! id just say GO BIG and single wire

eventualy ill get another spool of 0gauge and redue my ground wires and actualy hide them next time...

another thing ive always said... is dont go with what size ya need for your stereo now.... with your beginer system most just do like 8gauge or 4gauge... BUT any bass addict will tell ya.... you will always want more... which is why i just use 0gauge wire anymore cause its a single purchase that youll never have to pull out and replace! go big or go home

another thing that helps alot with you bass addicts...... fit a larger battery in the stock location that helped my civics stereo quite a bit itself!
downfall at least for most 96-00 civics is that you have to use a optima sealed battery... cause you have to trim 2 small places in the battery case for it to fit in/ONTOP ofthat battery tray location
one infront for upper control arm, and in the rear for the AC hoses going into the cabin..... but both are VERY SMALL and with a optima yellow top is a sinch! or should i say snip
rear

and the front
http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e2...wcables005.jpg

now it will be tight... BUT it will also fit
http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e2...wcables008.jpg
just flip the battery plastic tray so it wont eventualy vibrate thru the plastic shell.......
tho if your cheap and dont care about looks id say just buy some wire terminals.... it looks ugly but works non the less..

then youll just have to extend the ground wire only.... and just take 1 wire tie off the battery to starter tie.

Well im running a 2nd battery, Optima Yellow Top with 925 cca, so my first battery is just for starting the car. As for pullin the interior out, ive always wanted to run it underneath, but i hate to drill a hole, and im installing a car alarm, so ill be pulling out the interior anyways. I agree totally with you on the whole dont just buy wire for what u need now, pay the price and u will never have to buy wire again.

well like always cuting any holes or drilling first........ check both sides and drill a small hole to begin with... and then advance larger i went right up under my rear seat near the passenger side ABS wires go thru the floor right next to it...
