I just got a 97 civic dx coupe and moved my JVC head unit from my old car into this one and the radio reception went to hell. Reception was good with the factory unit, and reception was good with my JVC in my last car but for some reason the combination will only let me pick up like 2 stations. I checked the antenna and it was plugged securely into the new unit. Anyone know what the deal is or have any suggestions for me?

 

mine sucked in my 96 when i swaped in my good radio. i had to replace the car antena with a new one. nenw one solved the static issues.

 

Okay I will try that. If that doesnt solve it is there anything simple I can wire in to boost the signal?

 

only amped ones i know about is the autoloc hidden antenna
