how can you tell? I've never heard of that before. So when you turn the volume up on your stereo the engine sound gets louder? That is really odd. Is the noise static? or the actual reving sound of the engine?

Do you have an amp for your speakers? If so, make sure that your power wire is as far away from your speaker wires as possible.
