Default setting up my system

i have
pioneer TS-G1341R in the rear,
pioneer TS-G1641R in the front,
Pioneer TS-A6961R in the trunk,
two audiotek woofers (not sure of the specs. got it from my brother sounds good tho),
and an infinity REF7541A 4 channel amp
not sure how i should hook these up to the amp. i was thinkin should i get bass blockers for the small ones in the rear or should i jus hook those up to the HU and put the 6x9's and bridge the woofers onto rear channel of the amp and leave the front ones on the front channel. i think i should've bought a 5 channel amp.

What HU do you have and how many pre-outs are on it?

But at first glance, I'd get rid of the 5.25s and the 6.5s for the purpose of trading up to a little better 6.5s for the front doors. I've got those same 6.5s in my F150 atv hauler and they don't sound any different of my clairion deck than the oem paper dual cone speakers that were 15 years old. Your 6X9s should be fine for the rear deck(read on). Then I'd amp the front 6.5s, run the 6X9s of the HU, and bridge the two other channels to the audioteks (assuming they a subWOOFERS).

Okay-dohkey. Amp the fronts by using the front rca outs from your HU, and amp the subs using the sub rca outs on the HU, which will then leave the rear 6x9s running off the deck directly. When you run the rca cables from your HU to the amp, keep them seperated from the power wires or you could get a little noise. Have fun and enjoy the tunes.

OIC. Guess the question is....do you want all three sets of those pioneers in that little car? Unless you do a lot a tailgating and listening to music with your trunk open (parking lot maybe?), you aren't getting much sound from those into your car by their location now.

I think you can fit 6.5s in the rear where you have the 5.25s now according to crutchfield's website.....so if a 6.5 will fit, a little cutting may allow for the 6x9s to fit and someone here with the same car may be able to answer that for you. That said, and if it were me, I'd try to sell all the pioneers (including the 5.25s to get you more money) and get a good set of 6.5 components for the front that will work well with that amp. You should be able to get a good quality set for about $150. Then leave the rear speaker holes empty (your good sound usually comes from upfront where you are anyway). I'd amp the front set of 6.5s and and the subs in the trunk and krank the **** out of it. You could always leave the 5.25s in the rear unamped if you wanted to, but if your fronts are good quality you won't even notice the rears.

Good luck!

thanks a lot. i think i might try and sell the 5 1/2's and 6x9's on ebay and put the 6 1/2's in the back. probably might have to drill some extra holes.
i saw these mtx components on sounddomain.com not sure if they are a good brand. imma search the forum and see what other ppl have.

I've never heard the MTX stuff, but do have an MTX amp in my mustang that rocks. I have heard Infinity Reference (got them in the mustang), and Alpine Type R and S, and some by Diamond. Liked the first two, but was totally blown away by the last set in both the sound and the price department. If you can, go out and listen to as many sets as you can at all the local shops before you decide. Have then hook them up to an amp similar in power as what you have since that make a big difference in the way they'll sound in my experience. After you've narrowed down your choices, you can then go and buy online to suit your budget.
