IIRC, there was an additional harness in the door for the EX tweeters. The pods should just snap into place BUT I can't recall if your mirror adjusters will be on the corners of each vehicle in an HX or if there is just a blank plate on each corner of the door.

It is NOTHING to wire up the tweeters.... All you would really need to do is pull the door panel and run some more wire to them if the harness isn't there in your vehicle.

My 99EX didn't come with it, I think it was one of those optional packages

The factory tweeters come with a capacitor on them! I wouldn't go over Head Unit power though....

If you have manual mirrors, the adjustment arm will get in the way of the tweeter pod.

If this is the case, you have 2 options:
1) cut off the adjustment arm and from now on adjust the mirrors from the mirror itself and not with the arm.
2) put in power mirrors.

In my hatch I did the 2nd. It looks a lot better and you are still able to control both mirrors from the driver seat.

What I did was go out to a junk yard, found the 2 power mirrors, adjustment switch, and the 3 plugs that plugged into each with about 6 in of the factory wiring. I also had the wiring diagram from my helmes manual. I just ran my own new 20 gauge wire from the switch to the mirrors, then ignition and ground. Its really easy as long as you have the wiring diagram.

Then you can just put the tweeter pod on the inside and everything looks completely factory.

The wiring may already be there on the HX, since it's kinda one of those higher up models. If the harness isn't there on the door harness, try just getting some door harnesses from an EX/Si with the tweeter harness on it. Your floor harness inside the car may be prewired for it. If it was an option from Honda, it would be stupid of them to not have the floor harness prewired for it.
