hello all
i'm new to the forum and i need to know where in my car is the handy plug which (when the contacts are bridged) makes the cel flash and explain which code it is getting.
my ride is a 96 coupe SR (in the UK, not sure what model is in USA, D16Y8 engine). I recently had to get the engine replaced (unfortunately not upgraded) and the speedometer only works for the first 5 mins (about the same time as it takes for the temp gauge to get to normal) then the needle wobbles and falls to zero. the cel follows.
it will also do this if i turn on my lights (will work again if i turn 'em off, until the 5 min mark)
any hints as to the location of this mysterious plug or other ideas as to what is wrong would be hugely appreciated.

Sorry I can't answer your questions but I'm sure someone will come along and give you an answer. Welcome to HCF! If you fix it before then, let us know. Maybe someone else has a problem like that later on.
