You cannot chip OBD2 ECUs.

What are the trouble codes you speak of?

well i know of the Crankshaft position code being thrown because of the lack of one in a OBD1 engine.

what he is trying to say is,

he has a obd1 b16 engine in his obd2 car, he wants to be able to put a obd2 ecu in the car so he can pass emmisions, i told him that he can put the obd2 ecu in it but the obd1 engine lacks the cps sensor and will throw a cel on the obd2 ecu, so he will need to do the bypass trick so he wont have a cel. the emmisions people said he needs to have the obd2 ecu hooked up in his car so they can hook the obd2 scanner up to it for him to be able to pass.

Awe...Mitch you know exactly what i need, haha but its not for the emissions anymore if your gonna be able to help me out. Its really because i want to be able to have the ability of OBD2 because its easier to read and erase codes.
