Vtec doesnt engage at 5700. Its like 4500, im positive.
Mine engages at or around 5500rpm

5700?! that only leaves 1300rpm of vtec. I'm sad now, I though it was 4500

the vtec engagement piont for the d17a2 engine is at 6000 rpms, geting a jr vtec controller or a vafc wears down your cams especially if they are stock, if you want to go with the upgrade it would be wise to go ahead and upgrade your internal engine parts to with cams and cam gears with pulleys aswell, this would give a very high performance change to your vehicle with added security of not blowing your engine
