This damn Vtec/Need some Advice
Alright, my Vtec was working fine this morning, i disconnected the Vtec controller (Apexi), this morning to get to the water temp. sending unit to screw it in, and for some reason i didn't feel the Vtec "kick in" like it usually does, and then opened my B16C up on the highway no more than 10 minutes later, then got into town again and it started pulling again...But at a WAY lower RPM than it usually does, and not pulling hard at all. Im not sure if when i disconnected the Vtec controller if it reset, or what, but i am headed to the track tomorrow and need to be able to fix this asap, and i am totally obliviouse as to what to do, and i am no mechanic, but i am pretty savvy usually, in regards to...
Thanks for the help guys!

did you check the settings on the VTEC controller?
IDK why you would really want to change VTEC engagement anyway, unless you have actually done dyno runs to figure out exactly where it needs to engage.
If you feel VTEC kick in, then it is maladjusted.

1) You shouldn't feel vtec engage; it should be a smooth transition
2) Unless you have major mods (ie, cams, nitrous, forced induction), the factory vtec engagement point is the best setting; Honda chose the vtec engagement rpm for a reason
3) I'm guessing your vtec settings reverted to factory when you unplugged the controller
*edit: And I noticed this reading through the second time... B16c? Hate to break it to you, but the B16c doesn't exist.
