Default 00 Civic D16Y8, swap to B16A2

Would this basically be a simple engine swap since the B16 is found on the 00 Si? I am wanting to run N/A with bolt ons and get at least 200hp. A turbo later down the road could happen, but my goal for now is 200hp N/A and I am finding it too expensive to try to push the D16 to 200hp with upgraded internals and bolt ons.

I've found B16A2's with under 35k miles for $2000. Is this a good deal and is there anything else I need to know? thanks

Well, first, you'll have a tough time getting 200 at the wheels with any honda motor without using forced induction. Engines' horsepower ratings are at the crank, not the wheels. Unfortunately, a ton of power is lost through the drivetrain (I'd guess 80% of the engine's power gets to the wheels).

But swapping to any b-series is fairly easy in a civic... it more or less drops right in (as far as swaps go)
