he can only go obd1 if he uses an obd2a to obd1 jump harness. his car is obd2a, and an obd1 ecu will not plug in his car unless he uses a jump harness.
noob with a question. if you were to convert your car to obd1 like this would it still pass emissions?

thanks for all the advice guys! is it possible to do the swap yourself? or is profesional instalation recomended?

it depends on what you know about cars and if you have all the tools. you can learn a lot of you do a project yourself.

man that makes me sad! because whenever i see b16's or whatever with obd2 they cost like 500 or so dollars more! and ive read that the obd2 ecu cant be chipped! i wish i woulda bought a 92-95 civic.. woulda been easier and cheaper. =/
