Yes it's a standard right hand thread bolt, however I doubt you will get it off by hand. Honda crank pulley bolts have a habit of locking on tight. The last one I did, my 675 Foot pound impact wrench would not take it off. I had to go to a machine shop and have them loosen it for me. Good luck.
You took the entire motor to a machine shop to have the bolt loosened? And what is a chain wrench.

There is also a breaker bar-style tool with an open tip that fits in the hex pattern on the inside of the pulley and still allows a nice impact socket to fit in there. That way, you can brace the tool on something and then get some really good leverage on the bolt.

Ooh, good call. I actually posted that a long time ago and got the same response. I guess my memory is just that bad...
were all rusty when it comes to certaint things. as far as the snap on sockets.......the price for one snap on impact socket is the same as buying a set of impact sockets from harbor freight..... for the purpose of removing the crank pulley bolt id go the cheaper route.... trust me my whole tool box is snap on, matco, mac, ingersol, as well as cheaper stuff that i hardly use and could care less if they break. it gets expensive.
