Default engine problem

ok guys, i have a 92 civic and when i drive it for about a half an hour it will sort of cutt out. What i mean is ill be driveing down the road and ill punch the gas lightly and the engine acts like it is stalling, then i let off the gas and a few seconds after the engine will come back strong. Any ideas what it could be?
thanks

i just bought a fuel filter and a fuel pressure regulator. I also bought a cap and rotor because my dad had an f-150 that did the same thing and it was the cap and rotor

ok guys, i replaced the fuel filter, the cap and rotor and the fuel pressure regulator. I checked the plugs, they look new so i gaped them and put them back in. The "sputturing" is not as close to as bad as it was, but if i just sit there in neutral and hold the gas at around maybe 1000-1500rpms the engine will sputter down and go back to its idle. One of my friends said it could be the fuel rail. I looked at some on ebay and i was wondering if i could use them on the stock fuel system.

i think that will work im not sure though.....thanks
