Hey guys, I just recently purchased a stock 1999 Honda Civic DX 5 speed. I was wondering what I could possibly do to get the most out of this car. I am sort of new to cars but I know whats going on under the hood. If someone would be nice enough to help me out so that it will still pass the NC emissions inspection that would be great. I want to make this car really fly down the road. The engine is a 1,590 cc 1.6 liters SOHC non-vtech. Thanks.

 

It depends on how far you wanna go with it, one thing I believe you can do with it (someone correct me if i'm wrong)
is put a D16Y8 VTEC head on it that should bump it up around 20HP there's also high-lift cams, boring it out, high-compression pistons, or any combination of these
