Short circuit? Did you disconnect the battery before starting the work?

try and check the electrical system...
what i want to know if its either a stick or automatic trans... this is because the manual trans have some sort of bearing that pushes the crank when you are tryin to start it if that has failed ur car wont start... if thats so try to disconnect the Clutch safety switch from the electrical system...
