Default help!

I've got a 96' civic, not sure if its dx, lx, or whatever x but some mechanic told me it was just a plain "civic". I'm trying to start beefing up the engine but don't know where to start. Any suggestions? A lot of my friends who know about cars said to start with intake and exhaust, but what kind and how much? I'm really lost and just started getting into the whole tuner scene and could use any help you guys could give. Thanks!

Well its either gotta be an LX, DX, EX or some type. What features does it have...power windows, locks, etc... Shouldn't be too difficult to figure out what you have. Post a pic if you can. Anyways, intake and exaust is a good place to start. But since you don't know a whole lot, try searching around the forum to learn a few things. That way there isn't so much to explain. Good luck.

Another thing that will help is to check and see what motor it has. In the pic below, I've shown where to find the engine code location. Check yours out, then post up and let us know what you have. That will definitely help
