high pitch whistling from somewhere

Default high pitch whistling from somewhere

when i accelerate my car sometimes make a high pitch whistling sound...

it only doesn't it sometimes tho...so it was doing it last night and i turned off my cd player and then it stopped...then it started again when i turned it on again..


whats goin on

Prolly a belt or your intake. Tighten the intake if you have one around the filter and the brackets near the intake manifold, or if it's a belt identify which one and replace it.

then y does it only stop when i turn off my cd player/amp could it be the alternator bcuz i am also having a problem with buzzing from the speakers

that sounds like an electronic problem...some cd's have wierd tones that are like that...like have you even thought your phone was ringing...so you hit pause and it stops? same with weird sounds....sometimes they will start, you hit pause...gone, it play, and there back again....also, your alternator wont cause problems with your buzzing speakers...some times your ECU will cause that problem in some speakers....also some times its your cell phone...

it might be my cell hpone cuz everytime someone tells me a new trick i try it and i leave the phone in the house while im working and i thinks its gone and i come back to go somewhere with my phone and its back.....but how can i stop that high pitch noise coming fomr the engine? some say its a belt?

if it stops when you shut off the radio, it's electrically related.

if you can open the hood with the car running and not hear it, it's electrically related

chances are its some sort of interference from something

but its weird it only doesn't it like when its wet out it alwyas does it and when its colder when its warm it doesn't do it

ok i figured out more details..it only does it at night...when my lights are on along with my cd player and stuff...i tured off my lights at night and it stopped and then turned my lights on and the cd player off and it stipped also...so its the alternator...battery....?

no..... it does it only when the lights and cd plyaer are on so it must be the alternator...right
