an easy way to check your cooling fan is to remove either the fan motor or the rear window defogger. first make sure that they work where they are. if the blower works then switch it to the cooling fan. if fan turns on then you know its the relay.
As a side question, what is the difference with the three relays, coolant fan, heater motor, and defroster? They all 12v and look the same to me in shape and size.
I was thinking about that when I was at the autozone. I am about to go there in a few minutes so, I think that is what I will do.
Also check Walmart (automotive section), Sears hardware, and Harbor Freight Tools for digital multimeters. A basic model should cost $15 to $25.
Got on at autozone, not digital though, actron pocket electrical tester $14.99.
A non-digital (analog) multimeter has the potential to damage some sensitive electronic circuits. You really should have a digital multimeter for troubleshooting automotive circuits.
I finally had an auto shop looked it up for me and it turned out it was a fuse under the dash. That was fixed and now the fan and my heater works.
I am thinking how have I known, would of much rather be dealing with the EX model. I may just look for a new shell and forget about this one and swap whatever parts possible.
