Default 2006 Civic LX Coupe and my options.

Hi, this is my first post here, I just recently purchased an 06 Civic LX Coupe 5 speed. I was just wondering what mod options I have, and what I should do first to it if anything. I'm not really super car savvy when it comes to upgrades. Thanks in advance.

First Welcome. Second I would drive it as is & enjoy it. Why spend money on a perfectly good running car. If you want more performance maybe you should of bought a high performance car. Like maybe a Dodge Challenger with a 6.1 Hemi & 6 speed. They are good for 170 mph off the showroom floor & they are a great looking car off the showroom also.

I was talking little things that help like cold air intake, increases MPG and a little HP. I'm more talking just MPG upgrades, not as much HP upgrades. I only know of the cold air intake though, and does it matter what one I get? I see some that are like 90 bucks, others that are pushing 200. Is there a difference?

The difference between the prices are the filter quality. A pipe is a pipe. Buy a cheap kit, throw out the filter and buy a decent filter like a K&N or an AEM Dryflow.

You will hardly see any HP gains (1-2 if that), and barely see any MPG gains.

If you want to mod the car, I would look towards suspension (coilovers, sways bars, wheels etc) Most band for your buck and would definitely improve the appearance of the car.
