The thing about Chevys(or GMs) is that they get better after high milege. Our Suburben is getting 19 miles to the gallon in city when its rated at 14 from the dealer. Ofcourse we take care of it and do proper maintenence.

I have had primarily all GM cars, including 3 F-bodys ('94 Camaro, '94 Trans Am, '00 Trans Am). Not that the '00 Trans Am was bad on gas (21 mpg average), I was ready for a change, and sick of the poor quality and fit and finish of American cars. The Civic seemed like the best looking/best gas milage small car, so I bought it. Seems that the Civics hold their value pretty well too. I owe $6,400 on mine, so I figure in about 2 years I should have enough equity in it to get either a SI or a 325i without a giant payment.
