Exclamation Coilovers or Lowering springs?

Okay guys so here's my situation, i want to lower my car(stock suspension on 17"s) so i was thinking of buying the skunks adjustable coilovers, but a friend suggested it looks better if i put lowering springs instead, so in case i do put lowering springs how much should i lower it and what kind of strut should go with the lowering springs? I was looking at these:

Honda Civic Skunk2 Sport Shocks / Struts

Honda Civic D2 Racing Pro Lowering Springs

I'm open for suggestions and opinions.

as far as my budget i would like to keep it at the most $500(for now)

Mines a DD that gets about 40 miles hwy a day

I like the lowering spring...also I'm not a cool race car kid that needs his car 2 inches off the ground, but thats just me.

I was on a very strict budget and ended up with Tein S-Tech springs and Koni STR-T struts

i'm happy with them

coilovers are always way better but if you gonna go with lowering springs NEVER buy adjustable ones, regular lowering spring will be way better then adjustable ones
