Alright, so this morning i was beating on the civic a little, this tranny has like 80k miles on it or so, its an LS and i put it on my GSR because i couldnt afford another GSR or type R tranny so i went cheap, i knew it wouldnt last, but anyways, this pin came out of the gears or whatever and came through my case, i drove it home fine, it still goes fine, i was acutally going to try and jb weld it but i cant cause the pin is slkiding in and out and it would do the same thing again, the break is small, inch-inch and a half long and like, not even as wide as a pencil, im sure somones had this problem...





so what cases will fit, its the drivers side case, one opposite of the drain plug and such. i take it i have to take it apart and weld that pin or some **** idk...help me out maybe?

 

I think posting a picture would probably make it a lot easier for someone to help you! I don't know the answer to your question, but I'm guessing you have to replace the whole case, or get a new trans (probably a whole lot easier).

and it's not really a big deal, it's the "rules" (more like guidelines), and you're new to the forum so it's cool. I was just letting you know.

 

well, i have a picture so ill get that up. but is it safe to tig a tranny case or what? mechanic said that pin can be welded so it wont come part again.
